How to create a new wallet in the Uniswap Extension

You are able to create a new wallet directly in the Uniswap Extension.

How to create a new wallet:

1. Open the Uniswap Extension in your browser and select “Create a wallet”.
   
   

   
   
   

2. Create and confirm a password for your wallet.
   
   Remember to write down your Uniswap Extension password and store it in a safe place. If you forget or lose this password, Uniswap Labs cannot help you retrieve it.
   
   
   
   

3. Select “Continue”.
   
   

   
   
   

4. Review the recovery phrase warning and select “Continue”.
   
   

   
   
   

5. Write down your recovery somewhere safe, acknowledge the warning that Uniswap Labs cannot recover the phrase, and select “Continue”.
   
   

   
   
   

6. To ensure that you have written down and saved your recovery phrase correctly, you will be asked to enter in some phrases from your recovery phrase.
   
   Type in the word of your recovery phrase you are being asked to enter.
   
   

7. Once you have completed this three times, you can name your wallet.
   
   

   
   
   

8. Open the Uniswap Extension by clicking Command + Shift + U (for Mac) or Control + Shift +U (for PC) at the same time on your keyboard.
   
   

   
   
   

9. Congratulations! You have successfully created a new wallet in the Uniswap Extension.
