How to import a recovery phrase to the Uniswap Extension

You are able to import a recovery phrase from another wallet into the Uniswap Extension.

To import a recovery phrase:

1. Open the Uniswap Extension in your browser and select “I already have a wallet”.
   
   

   
   
   

2. Enter in your recovery phrase.

   Some wallets from other providers (such as Ledger) have 24-word recovery phrases. If your recovery phrase is 24 words, select "My recovery phrase is longer" to enter the full phrase.

   
   
   

3. Select “Continue”.
   
   

   
   
   

4. Create and confirm a password.
   
   Remember to write down your Uniswap Extension password and store it in a safe place. If you forget or lose this password, Uniswap Labs won’t be able to help you retrieve it.
   
   
   
   

5. Select “Continue”.
   
   

   
   
   

6. Select a wallet to import and select “Continue”.

   Please note, all wallets are selected by default. You can choose which wallets you do and do not want to import.
   
   

   
   
   

7. Open the Uniswap Extension by holding Command + Shift + U (for Mac) or Control + Shift + U (for PC) on your keyboard.
   
   

   
   
   

8. Congratulations! You have successfully imported your wallet into the Uniswap Extension. You can choose to start swapping or explore tokens and NFTs.
