How to restore your Uniswap Wallet on a new device

If you get a new phone, you will need to restore your recovery phrase on your new device. This article will walk through the steps to complete this.

In order to restore your Uniswap Wallet you will need one of the following:

  1. Your recovery phrase written down from a manual backup
  2. Your back up password from an iCloud or Google Drive backup

Without your recovery phrase or your iCloud or Google Drive back up password, you may not be able to recover your Uniswap Wallet.  You may lose access to your funds permanently.

Uniswap Labs does not store your recovery phrase or your iCloud back up password.

How to recover your Uniswap Wallet on a new device:

  1. When you open the Uniswap Wallet on the new device, you will see a prompt to restore.
Select “Restore”. If you choose to dismiss, you may not be able to swap and send in the wallet.
  2. If you backed up your recovery phrase over iCloud or Google Drive, the wallet will search for backups.
  3. If a backup is found, you will be prompted to enter in your backup password.

  4. If there is no backup found or if you didn’t backup through iCloud or Google Drive, you will be prompted to enter in your recovery phrase.
  5. Once the backup password or recovery phrase is entered, the app will search for wallets.
  6. If you have multiple wallets under the same recovery phrase they will appear here and you can select the wallet you want to restore.
