Profit & Loss (P&L) helps you track how your crypto portfolio is performing directly in the Uniswap app. You can see how much you've gained or lost both for your overall portfolio and for individual assets.
This feature is available on the Uniswap web app and mobile wallet.
How does P&L work?
P&L tracks your trading performance by comparing what you paid for tokens (your cost basis) against their current value or the price at which you sold them. You can see P&L for all transactions within your connected wallet.
Key P&L metrics
Average Cost
The average price you paid to acquire a token. This is calculated across all of your purchases of that token.
Unrealized Return
The difference between your token's current market price and your average cost. This tells you how much you would gain or lose if you sold now. This can be filtered by time period and is visible on both the Portfolio page and individual Token Detail Pages.
If you received a token via transfer (rather than buying it), the price at the time you received it is used as your cost basis.
Realized Return
The actual profit or loss from tokens you've already sold. This is calculated as the value of tokens sold minus the value of tokens bought. This can be filtered by time period.
Total Return
Your unrealized return plus your realized return across all time. This is your overall performance for a given asset. This can be filtered by time period.
Where can I see my P&L?
- Portfolio page: See your aggregated P&L across all tokens in your wallet.
- Token Detail Page (TDP): See P&L for a specific token, including average cost, unrealized return, realized return, and total return.
What if I transferred a token into my wallet instead of buying it?
If a token is transferred into your wallet rather than purchased, Uniswap uses the token's price at the time you received it as your cost basis.
How far back does P&L data go?
P&L data extends back to your wallet's first swap. Historical data is available for all supported time periods.
Does P&L include NFTs or liquidity positions?
P&L currently covers token trades.
Is P&L available on all networks?
P&L is available across all networks supported by the Uniswap app.
