I forgot my Uniswap Extension password. What can I do?

If you forgot or lost the password to your Uniswap Extension, you may be able to change it.

Changing the password to the Uniswap Extension is only possible when you have access to your wallet in the Uniswap Wallet.

1. If you do have access to your wallet in the Uniswap Wallet app, you can change your password using the steps in this article: How to create a new Uniswap Extension password.
   
   

2. If you have a manual backup, then you can import your wallet into the Uniswap Wallet app using your recovery phrase. To import your wallet see our article: How to import a recovery phrase into the Uniswap Wallet.
   
   

3. If you do not have access to your wallet in the Uniswap Wallet app and you do not have a manual backup of your recovery phrase, then there is no way to regain access to your self-custodial wallet.
