What is Swap Protection?

Swap protection protects your Ethereum Mainnet transactions from sandwich attacks and front-running.

When swapping with swap protection in the Uniswap Wallet, your swap is sent to a private transaction pool to protect your swaps from front-running and sandwich attacks.

Because of this additional layer of protection, when Swap protection is enabled, some swaps may be submitted with higher auto slippage to increase the chances of a successful transaction.

If you are swapping a fee-on-transfer token that is routed through Uniswap v2 pools, it is likely to go through more safely and with reduced chances of failure.

Swap protection is automatically turned on for all Ethereum transactions. You can turn Swap protection on or off in Swap settings. You always still have the option to adjust slippage manually.

Swap protection in the Uniswap Wallet uses MEV Blocker.
