I accidentally sent funds to the wrong address

If you accidentally sent tokens to the wrong address or a contract address, your tokens may not be recoverable.

Once a transaction is completed on the blockchain, it cannot be reversed or refunded.

I sent my tokens to the wrong address

If you know the owner of the wallet address where your funds were sent, you may reach out to them and see if they are willing to send the tokens back to you.

If you do not know the owner of the wallet address, the tokens may be lost.

Uniswap Labs is unable to help with this request. We do not collect user data. You can read more about our commitment to privacy here.

I sent my tokens to a Uniswap Protocol contract

The Uniswap protocol contracts are decentralized, meaning anyone can operate them without restriction.

The Uniswap protocol routers are not designed to hold any crypto; they are purely designed for single-transaction swap efficiency and must contain the properly formatted transaction data.

Tokens left behind or sent to the routers can be used by any other transaction.

The Uniswap protocol pools are not designed to receive crypto without properly formatted transaction swap data.

Any crypto sent to any Uniswap pool contract will be lost or unrecoverable.

I sent my tokens to another contract address

Sending tokens to contracts will likely result in a full loss of the funds. Most token contracts are not designed to receive or retrieve tokens sent to them.

Contracts must be programmed to receive or retrieve any crypto sent to them. Without the proper programming, no one, not even the owner, will be able to recover the funds.

If you know the owner or the team that manages the contract, you can reach out to them to see if they can help. In most situations, there is no function on the other end to send the tokens back.
